I started in coworking. The consulting business grew out of the operations and technology work I was doing inside those spaces, and out of helping build a brand that eventually became a franchise and then helping launch it.

Real estate came later, and it came from the client side. I kept running into the same thing: the growth conversation and the space conversation were the same conversation, and they were being handled by two different people who never spoke. So I got licensed. Now the strategy and the transaction sit with one person, which is generally the point.

What I care about is whether the business works after the paperwork is signed. That is true whether the engagement is a growth plan, a fractional COO seat, or a lease.
